How to Record a Screencast with Screencast‐O‐Matic

Need to record a screencast but don't want to download any software? Here's one way to make it work.

Steps

1. Go to Screencast-O-Matic. You'll find it at: http://www.screencast-o-matic.com.

2. Press the "Start Recording" button.

3. A box with a dotted border will pop up:

4. From the dropdown menu at the bottom of the box, select "Fullscreen".Alternatively, you can drag the little squares at the corners to adjust the size of the box.

5. Press the record button to start recording. The screencast will record your voice, if you want to describe what you are doing.

6. Press Alt + D to stop recording.

7. Preview the screencast.

8. To the right of the video, choose what you want to do.

9. If you click "Upload to SOM" enter a description and choose a language on the right and press "Upload" at the bottom.

10. Log in or register.

11. Wait until your video upload is complete.
